Scary
This is SO Cute!
I’ve been having major withdrawals from not being able to go visit Ryder during lunch this week. My days are much happier, run much smoother, and go by much faster when I get to take that mid-day break and spend it with my little love. So I was so excited to get an email today filled with pictures of Ryder from the days he was at Jessica’s this week! It looks like he’s having so much fun hanging out with Aunt Jess and his cousins. Thank goodness it’s Friday, it’s my turn now!
So cute! Thanks for everything girls, I think Ryder’s going to miss you guys next week. But, I must say that I’ll be glad to get back into a normal routine :)
Busy, Busy Week!
This week has put us so far out of our routine, that I don’t think any of us know what to do with ourselves. To start off, Aunt Vicky had to go be with her family, her brother lost his battle with cancer…it’s so sad, our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. With that said, Vicky was off all week so my family stepped in and took turns watching Ryder. Monday Alan stayed home with him, Tuesday he went to my Sister-In-Law Jessica’s house, Wednesday my Mom watched him, and Thursday & Friday he went back to Jessica’s. For me that meant each day getting him ready for whatever the situation was, which brought about major changes in his schedule. Alan dropped him off at Jessica’s each day which meant Ryder had to wake up at 3am like Daddy! I’m hoping and praying he doesn’t think that’s the new norm and try to wake up like that this weekend! But, he has really enjoyed spending time with Jessica & the girls…and all in all he adjusted fine. Now next week we’ll see how he does getting back to his regular schedule.
The busy-ness doesn’t end there though…Tuesday we took a walk with Sharon, Wednesday I took him to the Doctor because I noticed a rash breaking out on his chest, it was just eczema and we were given cream to put on it. The cream worked almost immediately and the rash was gone the next day! Then lastnight we went to visit Amber and her new little baby Alexa. She’s sooooo cute and sweet! It’s crazy how little she looks to me, it’s hard to even remember Ryder being that little! It was really nice to visit with Diana and Amber, time always flies when we’re together! So out of all that, here are the only pictures that I managed to take:
Ryder hanging out with Dee Dee
Sweet, cuddly, little baby Alexa
So, that has been our week! Ryder turns 6 months old tomorrow and has his 6 month appt on Monday…stay tuned :)

Daddy & Poppy
That’s what Monday was all about for Ryder. Daddy stayed home from work and spent the whole day with Ryder since his babysitter was off. I was so sad to have to be at work, while they relaxed in their PJ’s all day. But Alan sent me pictures and even a video (that won’t upload!) so I could see what a good time they were having together. Here’s a picture of him saying “hi mom!”
Today was also a very special day for someone else…it was Poppy’s Birthday!! So when I got home from work, Ryder helped me wrap his present:
And then it was off to Poppy & Nana’s for his Birthday dinner. Dinner was SO good, Ryder hung out in his car while Mommy & Daddy ate. We hung out for a little while but then had to get home for bath, bottle, and bed…can’t get too far out of that routine! But before we left, it was hugs & kisses for Poppy who we all love VERY much and are excited to be able to celebrate his 50th Birthday with :)

Happy Birthday to My Friends!
Ryder has two very special friends that just had their very first Birthday on Thursday! Levi, Wyatt & Ryder (sounds like something straight out of a Western, huh?!) are going to be such great friends and they don’t even know it yet! These twin boys have got the sweetest, most wonderful parents that we are so lucky to have in our lives. They have wanted and tried for kids for a while, who knows why God waited so long to answer that prayer for them. I like to think it’s because He knew how much we would benefit from having a little boy 6 months behind them. Ha, I’m sure that’s not why…but it really has worked out for us. They have SO generously passed down a bassinet, THREE swings, two vibrating chairs, clothes, diapers, lots and lots of stuff. But, even more valuable than any of that is the advice and support we have received from them. Diddle (the Mommy) was just a phone call or email away, ready to answer every off the wall question I could come up with while I was pregnant and learning how to be a Mommy. If I could’ve gotten pregnant behind any woman in this world I would pick her…she’s just that wonderful! So, thank you Harold and Diddle for everything, you are truly a blessing to us. And to your handsome bald-headed babies – HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!! We can’t wait to celebrate many more with you!
